1,000 Donated – Fund Raiser in aid of L-Istrina
A charity fund raiser in aid of ‘L-Istrina’ and ‘The Community Chest Fund’ was organised in the Pendergardens piazza on the 20thof December 2011. ‘Enkor’ a professional choir group entertained onlookers with a traditional and contemporary mix of Christmas carols. Mulled wine, mince pies and chocolates were on offer.
The night came to an end with a speech from Peter Diacono, CEO of Pender Ville Ltd. He congratulated Enkor and thanked those who attended, also announcing that whatever was collected on the night would be matched by the Management.
A respectable donation totalling 1,000 Euros was deposited on Monday 26th December at the Presidents Palace, Buskett.
The final amount collected by L-Istrina 2011 was a record 2,566, 539 Euros.
A big thank you goes out to Enkor Choir Group, the Pendergardens team, Residents, Friends, Family and all of those whom attended and left a donation on the night!
